„Gerne wieder in Funchal

Tolle Lage in Funchal, gute Anbindung an Bus und Taxi, Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe, saubere und große Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Aussicht vom oberen Deck. Ich würde wieder dort übernachten.

Das Frühstück bot alles, was man braucht. Die großartige Auswahl an Früchten, insbesondere waren es nicht nur Standardfrüchte, sondern eine bunte Vielfalt, haben das Frühstück besonders gemacht. Daneben kann man noch aus frisch zubereiteten kleinen Gerichten für das Frühstück wählen. Die Dachterrasse mit Pool (ca 7m lang), Whirlpool und vielen Sonnenliegen hat zum Verweilen eingeladen. Das Personal war durchgehend sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Die Straße wurde schon öfter hier erwähnt, da kann aber das Hotel nichts für. Einfach Ohropax mitnehmen, dann geht das schon ;-)

„Sehr erholsam, gerne wieder.

Die Unterkunft war durchweg top. Es war alles sehr sauber und das Personal war mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Pool auf dem Dach ist zwar klein aber sehr gemütlich. Sollte man nicht missen. Würde wieder kommen. Definitiv das benachbarte Terrace de Ayuda Restaurant ausprobieren.

Das Frühstück war für den Preis eher durchschnittlich. Es gab leider keinen guten Kaffee. Sehr positiv waren allerdings die leckeren Früchte!

Das Terrace Mare Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, um Funchal und die Umgebung zu erkunden. Das Zentrum und der Hafen sind fußläufig zu erreichen. In der näheren Umgebung befinden sich viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Alle Zimmer haben Balkons zu einer viel befahrenen Straße.

„Für 12 Tage eine angemessene Unterkunft in zentraler Lage.

Die Zimmer sind Geräumig und gepflegt. Trotz 4. Obergeschoss etwas laut wegen der Tag und Nacht viel befahrenen Straße. Frühstück war 0kay. Das Hotel ist gut geeignet als Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen.

Nichts erwähnenswertes.

„War absolut zufrieden.

Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Frühstück hat vollkommen ausgereicht. Entspannung vom Tagestrip auf der Dachterrasse, im Pool und im Jacuzzi sehr gut möglich. Sauna nicht ausprobiert. In der Nähe einige Lokale erreichbar.

Leider kurzfristig kein Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage mehr verfügbar gewesen. Deswegen Parken auf der Straße und regelmäßig Tickets ziehen nötig.

„Sehr sauber und der Pool war meistens leer

Sauber und wenig besucht war es im Mai 2024. Nettes Personal, Frühstück für nen 10er sogar mit Sekt, wir hatten ein großes Zimmer

Direkt an der Straße am Berg, wo die Fahrzeuge ihre Motoren sehr hoch ziehen, wurde es laut mit offenem Fenster. Wenn es zu war war es aber okay

Such a nice staff of the hotel. Helpfull and polite, from cleaning ladies to the reception! Especialy Nóemie at the desk! They made us feel like at home! Warm swimming pool, hot jacuzzi, sweet little trust bar near the pool. Store,restaurants,pub near the hotel.

Perfect stay perfect location at perfect price

We really enjoyed our stay here , nice modern decor, large spacious apartment with good aircon system, everything you need to a self catering stay , new towels and bedding each day , welcome drink and some extra goodies in our room on arrival and relaxed quiet atmosphere around the hotel pool and jacuzzi area , we often had the pool to ourself which was nice , also had a nice but small honestly bar, great idea for enjoying a rooftop beer. We stayed over new year and the prices were very reasonable, perfect location for us , near lido area however only 15-20 min walk into town , half an hour walk to old town, many nice restaurants and bars in the area , sports bar on the corner . We visit Madeira every year and we will definitely return to this hotel .

There wasn’t anything at all we didn’t like , however If I had to think of something to improve on, it would be nice if the honesty bar stocked some mini wine bottles. Or something else to drink perhaps . Also they do have a small charge for sauna , which I felt was very fair however it might be a nice gesture to allow 1 use per stay for people .

Completely recommend. Great location. Fantastic staff. Nice rooms with balconies

Staff were extremely welcoming. They couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s was my boyfriend’s birthday they kindly left a delicious cake for him. The room was bright, clean and spacious. Good size fridge and cooking utensils. 2 balconies, One from the room and another 3 steps from your front door The pool and jacuzzi on the roof was such a great bonus, with an honesty box for ice cream etc. Lovely spot to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Super handy car parking under hotel. Make sure you pre book. Sadly we didn’t get breakfast as needed urgent treatment in the middle of the night. The staff were just so kind and helpful throughout the how ordeal we are truly thankful. We would definitely recommend this hotel and amazing staff

Lovely hotel. Staff were SO friendly and accommodating, went above and beyond to help us out. Great breakfast and beautiful rooftop pool and jacuzzi.

Perfect, definitely recommend!

The staff was absolutely great! They were very helpful and kind. The accommodation was big, very clean and in great condition. Everyday cleaning was of great quality. The balcony kept the outside noise and noting disturbed us while sleeping. Definitely recommend. We were welcomed by a gift basket at the arrival, it really made us feel welcomed. The location was great - 30 minutes to the port on foot. Many restaurants nearby.

Exceptional

Nice swimming pool and hot tub on the roof. 20 minute walk from the centre of Funchal or a cheap taxi ride. Stay was made better by one staff member, Noémie. Who was super helpful, informative and supportive when our flight got cancelled and managed to sort out a room for us. She was bubbly and was generally nice to talk to. Would 100% come back.

If I had to be picky I would say the rooms are a little noisy, but apart from that all good.

Nice stay in Funchal

The rooms are huge! Great bed, functional kitchen, clean space! The pool and jacuzzi are really nice with crystal clear water! Staff is always cordial. The location is really good with restaurants and bars around. There is also a Pingo Doce Supermarket about 10 min from the hotel. For me the best thing was to see the sunshine from my balcony.

The garage is not big so only a few cars can park. So you have to book a parking spot in advance. I booked and that was not an issue.. but I wonder how it works when they have a full hotel.. The space available is not easy for big cars.
